Today, December 16 marks the start of the yearly observance of the Minglanilla Misa de Gallo, popularly known to Filipinos as the Simbang Gabi. "Misa de Gallo" is the Spanish phrase for Midnight Mass. It literally means “Mass of the Rooster”.
The nine dawn Masses, usually starting at four o'clock in the morning, are considered a novena by the Catholic and Aglipayan believer. Going to mass this early for nine consecutive days is meant to show the churchgoer's strong devotion to his faith and to heighten anticipation for the Nativity of the Lord.
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 5:33-36.
You sent emissaries to John, and he testified to the truth.
I do not accept testimony from a human being, but I say this so that you may be saved.
He was a burning and shining lamp, and for a while you were content to rejoice in his light.
But I have testimony greater than John's. The works that the Father gave me to accomplish, these works that I perform testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me.
Nice photos what unit are you using in taking these shots..
